Megha Gupta holds a Bachelors in Political Science Honours from Loreto College (Kolkata) and a Masters Degree in Diplomacy, Law and Business from O.P. Jindal Global University. She has also been a part of a fully funded Identity Based Conflict Resolution Program at Bar Ilan University, Israel, where she examined conflicts at Interpersonal, national and international levels. At the Jindal School of International Affairs, she was the recipient of ‘Best Student (Publications)’ and ‘Best Student (Research Initiatives)’.
She has worked with the Center for Southeast Asian Studies (CSEAS) where she contributed in the publication of a peer reviewed journal article titled ‘India-ASEAN relations: the initiatives, successes and challenges’ and also co-authored an analytical piece titled ‘China’s BRI Strategy and Laos’.
She has also assisted the Dean of JSIA, Dr. Sreeram Chaulia, in writing his book on ‘Trumped: Emerging Powers in a Post American World’. Her other professional work experience includes Observer Research Foundation, Carnegie and Janes Defense India.
Her research work focuses on South Asia, India and extended Neighborhood, Connectivity, Defense and China. In her previous works she has investigated questions of Transit Protocols, Democracy Promotion in South Asia and the Impact of Connectivity on SDGs. Courses taught in the past as a Teaching Assistant include ‘World News from Multiple Perspectives’ and ‘Political Science theory’.
Outside academia, she likes to engage in sports and arts.
