Priyam is an Academic Tutor & Teaching & Research for Intellectual Pursuit (TRIP) Fellow at O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU). She holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy from Jindal School of Government and Public Policy. She was awarded a bronze medal for academic excellence during the year 2017-19.

 

Prior to joining JSGP as a TRIP fellow, she worked as a Programme Officer at the Public Affairs Centre (PAC), a not for profit think tank based in Bangalore for one and half years. There she was working on a project called International Migration Centre- Karnataka which aimed to create sustainable overseas employment pathways for the people of Karnataka. She worked as a part of the Research and Analysis Division of the project where she carried out actionable research on various aspects related to international labour Migration which enabled better implementation of the project. She has also interned with organisations such as Centre for Budget and Governance Accountability, Food Security Campaign Jharkhand, Cyber Peace foundation and Government of Andhra Pradesh.

 

Priyam’s current research interest lies in international labour migration, skill mapping and pre-departure orientation. Her other areas of interest include food security, health and nutrition and renewable energy.
