JSGP students launch plantation campaign called VRAKSH
Pranjali Agarwal and Ruchika Murmu, students of Jindal School of Government and Public Policy (JSGP), launched a new initiative of unique education through plantation campaign called VRAKSH with a vision to provide society with a distinctive platform to learn. The campaign, launched under the aegis of Jyoti Awareness Foundation (JAF), was inaugurated on the occasion of International Forests Day on 21 March, with the theme for this year as ‘forest restoration – a path to recovery and well-being’.
JAF is an NGO which aims to provide/impart free education and preserve ancient Indian culture by rendering such values to the poor, underprivileged and needy communities of society with the motive to improve their living standards. Apart from the newly-launched VRAKSH, its campaigns include Apna Khana (Food for All), Education for All, Free Medication (charitable dispensary) and Orphanage Marriage.
