Pulkit Taluja is a doctoral candidate in Finance & Control at the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta. He has also been a Graduate Assistant at the University of Utah, US. Prior to that he has pursued his MBA from Indian Institute of Management Kashipur and B.E. from Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology, Delhi. In professional capacity, he has worked in multiple domains at reputable organisations such as ICICI Bank Corporate Banking, Sapient Global Markets and TCS Financial Solutions.
Pulkit has taught courses such as from Business Mathematics, Advanced Corporate Finance and Private Wealth Management. His research interests lie primarily in the area of financial economics, financial contracting, financial regulation and banking. He has conducted research in topics pertaining to creditor rights, credit information sharing, co-existence of banking & debt markets, and loan contract features that reduce information asymmetry. He uses multiple research methodologies in his studies ranging from a quasi natural experimental design to mathematical modelling. He has collaborated with scholars of different geographies and nationalities for many of his studies. He has also presented his research in multiple international conferences (2019 INFINITI Conference on International Finance – Glasgow, UK, European Finance Management Association 2017 Annual Meetings – Athens, Greece, 2018 INFINITI Conference on International Finance – Valencia, Spain).
