Biography

He is a Healthcare Architect – a career not quite as planned as it has been a quirk of fate, more of a providence, as he likes to believe.

A late bloomer into serious architecture, he wants to make up for the lost time and remains completely immersed in the delectable intricacies of the subject.

Having worked with, arguably, the most complex of building types for more than three decades, seeking emotionally responsive solutions to functionally complex and technically dense healthcare projects, trying to satisfy various types of business models without letting the patient lose the centrality of arguments, he has developed a non-glamorous, rigorous, analytical approach to design where the final product is but the inexorable eventuality of a relentless logical pursuit.

Over the last few years he has turned his attention towards spreading this philosophy of architectural design to budding architects through regular teaching assignments in colleges. He manages to take out time to interact with students, sharing his own experience and development as a thinking architect, with the hope that this might eventually go a long way in demystifying the design process which is so shrouded in an enigmatic mystery that countless students over generations have resigned themselves to professional obscurity without being able to experience the surreal high of design exploration.
