Biography

After doing one year Diploma from MPSD, Kripesh Jani, did his post-graduation degree in Performing Arts specialized in Design and Direction from the Central University of Hyderabad, Jani’s journey embodies a rich tapestry of experiences.

From his early days with Baalmanch in Ujjain to his extensive involvement in various theatrical pursuits spanning over 25 years, Jani has honed his skills across multiple disciplines. He boasts proficiency in acting, direction, singing, and playing rhythm instruments, alongside expertise in Akhada, Chhau Dance, and stage crafts like light design, Set design and Scenography.

Having performed in over 100 stage shows nationwide, Jani’s repertoire extends beyond theatre to encompass film and television. He has directed short films, contributed to documentaries and advertisement films, and graced the small screen as a lead artist on Doordarshan. Furthermore, his roles as a team controller, facilitator, art director, and actor-teacher underscore his versatility and commitment to the art form.

Jani’s achievements include a nomination for the POGO Amazing Kids Award and prestigious scholarships and fellowships from the Centre of Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT). His participation in numerous national and international theatre festivals further cements his status as a distinguished figure in the performing arts landscape.
