Ikroop Sandhu is a graphic novelist and design educator. Her artistic practice centers on drawing and animation, exploring the feminine capacity for knowledge gathering, storytelling, and reflection. Her work is deeply influenced by the feminist principle that “the personal is political”. She has collaborated on video art projects with prominent artists such as Raqs Media Collective, Sarnath Bannerjee and Mochu. Her illustrations have been showcased in The Print and Platform magazine and her work has been exhibited at IIT Gandhinagar. In 2022, her debut graphic novel, Inquilab Zindabad, which chronicles the life of Punjabi revolutionary Bhagat Singh, was released by Yoda Press and Simon & Schuster. For the past two years, she has been dedicated to teaching storytelling, illustration, and animation, as well as developing curriculum at the Indian Institute of Art and Design (IIAD) in Delhi.
