Jindal Institute of Leadership Development and Executive Education (JILDEE) has been bridging the gap of industry and academia through various customized management development programme across various organisations in government and public sector undertakings for middle and senior level officers.
As part of these efforts, during July, JILDEE conducted two programmes. In the first one, JILDEE, in academic conjunction with JIBS, delivered two back-to-back Online Certificate Programme on ‘Train The Trainers: How to Conduct an Online Training’ during 21-24 July 2019 and 27-30 July. The programme was meant for selected Student Officers –PAN India, of Comptroller and Auditor General of India (CAG), and was specially designed to provide insights into conducting introductions, use of effective presentation skills along with communication for engaging, and experiential learning. There were special topics of how to maintain credibility and rapport and closing methods and feedback during an online training programme.
In an ever-changing world, one of the biggest challenges organisations face is how to stay on top of their game while adapting to new markets, requirements and environments. To stay competitive, their workforce needs to be up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies. Therefore, it is not uncommon for employees to attend trainings in the workplace.
Dr. Sanjeev P Sahni, Principal Director, Jindal Institute of Behavioural Sciences (JIBS), Professor & Member, Governing Body, and Advisor to the Vice Chancellor of JGU was the academic director of this programme. He ensured the right blend of faculty and academic content with relevant real-time case studies that enriched the delivery of the programme to the optimum level. He delivered two sessions during the programme.
The programme was also facilitated by top-notch faculties who had a blended experience of industry and academia for their content and context, such as Dr. Tanushree Sharma, Associate Professor, JGBS; Mr Karan Kumar, Additional Director, IT department of JGU; Dr. Pulkit Khanna, Associate Professor, JIBS; Dr. Manjushree Palit, Associate Professor, Director of JIBS; and Mr. Arun Albert, Head, Learning and Development, JGU.
Lt. Gen. Rajesh Kochhar, Senior Director – JILDEE, inaugurated the programme online with a brief introduction of JGU and the objectives of the programme. All sessions were moderated by Mr. Amit Mohapatra, Joint Director, JILDEE, via live Zoom video conferencing with officers who participated from CAG offices across India. The online valedictory function was held in the presence of the JIBS faculty and the JILDEE team, where participants received their e-certification online. Mr. Kulwant Singh, Principal Director, CAG, said learning and development is a continuous process. He also shared the strategy of effective online training at the valedictory session.
