Student Spotlight: JGU student participates in several Trap Shooting competitions
Udaivir Singh Jaijee (2018 Batch) student of Jindal School of International Affairs, this year participated in many Trap shooting competitions. The first competition that he was participated in was the Punjab state (NR) competition which was held at the Patiala shooting range, Punjab. He shot a score of 43/50 from 24th August to the 25th of August, 2019 and won the silver medal in that competition. Further he qualified to participate in the All India G.V. Mavalankar shooting (Pre-Nationals) competition which was held at The Jaipur shooting ranges, Rajasthan from 28th of September to the 5th of October. In this competition he shot 40/50 targets and secured 4th place missing the bronze medal by 1 point. He became an aspiring shooter after this competition and secured qualification for the All India National competition in Shotgun Events (Trap).
He then participated in the Punjab state shotgun ISSF shooting championship which was held at the New Moti Bagh gun club, Patiala and shot 101/125 the competition. He then participated in the Punjab state trail which was agin held at Patiala in which I shot 103/125. Moving on he participated in the 1st South Delhi district shooting competition organised by the South Delhi District rifle association (SDDRA) held at the Delhi shooting ranges. He won the gold medal in this competition. He then participated in military literature festival Shotgun championship which was held at the New Moti Bagh gun club, Patiala from 3rd to 4th of November, 2019.
Further on, he participated in the All India National competition in Shotgun Events (Trap) which was held in Delhi from 16th November to the 30th of November. He shot a total of 109/125 and missed India trails by 1 target.
