JGU signs historic agreement with The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania
JGU signed an Agreement Cooperation with the Aresty Institute of Executive Education, the Wharton School as the first step towards building a strong and substantive partnership. The agreement to launch this programme was signed with Mr. David L. Heckman, Senior Director, Global Partnerships, Aresty Institute of Executive Education at the Wharton School in the University of Pennsylvania.
It was signed in the presence of Mr. Mike Malefakis, Associate Vice Dean & CEO, Aresty Institute of Executive Education, The Wharton School; Professor Harbir Singh, Mack Professor of Management, Faculty Director, Huntsman Program Mack Institute & Co-Director, Mack Institute of Innovation Management, The Wharton School; Ms. Patricia A. Parker, Senior Director, Associations & Academic Institutions, Aresty Institute of Executive Education, The Wharton School; Mr. Ryan Sulzbach, Programme Director, Aresty Institute of Executive Education, The Wharton School; and Ms. Alyssa Greco Stahl, Director, Business Development, Aresty Institute of Executive Education, The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
As the first outcome of this historic collaboration, the Wharton School has extended a special invitation for JGUstudents to undertake a premium certificate programme on “Business, Finance & Entrepreneurship for Leaders of Tomorrow” between July 13th and 24th 2020. This programme will be conducted on the campus of The Wharton School. This certificate programme is designed exclusively for JGU students and is not an independent programme of the Wharton School.
Four specially designed modules for JGU students include (1) Global Business Strategy and Mergers & Acquisitions; (2) Entrepreneurship and Technology Innovation; (3) Managing and Marketing for Startups; and (4) International Banking and Financial Markets. All 4 modules will be offered by the faculty of The Wharton School who are world-leading scholars in their respective fields.
These modules cover a range of areas of knowledge and skills that are essential for success in today’s changing workplace to become a future leader. This programme will help participants improve their analytical and decision-making skills at a strategic level in areas most relevant for doing business in this new age.
The classes will be of 6 hours’ duration in a day and there will be 60 hours of teaching in total. All students who successfully complete this programme will receive an Official Certificate from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania noting that they have completed 4-course modules. JGU will give 6 credits for the successful completion of the course at the Wharton School.
