Professor (Dr.) Sanjeev P. Sahni, Principle Director, Jindal Institute of Behavioral Sciences (JIBS), conducted an awareness programme on ‘Stress Management and Performance Enhancement’ on 12 January 2019 at Delhi Public School, Lucknow. The programme was attended by 200 students and 56 school principals and teachers.
Dr. Sahni and Dr. Tithi Bhatnagar, Assistant Professor & Deputy Director, Jindal Institute of Behavioural Sciences (JIBS), conducted an awareness programme on ‘Stress Management and Performance Enhancement’ in Nagpur on 18 January 2019. The programme saw the participation of 110 people including 26 schools.
Dr. Sahni and Dr. Mohita Junnarkar, Assistant Director, Jindal Institute of Behavioral Sciences (JIBS), conducted an awareness programme for school leaders on ‘Stress Management and Performance Enhancement’ in Ranchi on 28 January 2019. Around 130 school teachers participated in the awareness programme. In addition, Dr. Junnarkar delivered a talk on performance enhancement to the students of Tender Heart Senior Secondary School, Ranchi on 29 January 2019. The talk was attended by approximately around 500 students from the school.
A delegation from Vietnam National University visited JGU on 14 January 2019. The delegation comprised Dr. Nguyen Thi Anh Thu, Director, Collaboration and Development Department, Vietnam National University, Hanoi; Ms. Le Yen Dung, Deputy General Director of Social Science and Natural Science of Ministry of Science and Technology; Ms. Nguyen Lan Huong, Deputy General Director of Science, Education, Natural Resources and Environmental, Department of Ministry of Planning and Investment, Vietnam; and Mr. Truong Ngoc Kiem, Deputy Director, Collaboration and Development Department, Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
The purpose of the visit was to gain first hand on-campus information about JGU and focus on expanding cooperation between JGU and VNU in higher education management and training for advanced and talented graduate and post-graduate students and co-research programmes.
Mrs. Tashii Lhamo, Chief Program Officer, Teacher Professional Support Division (TPSD), Ministry of Education, Bhutan and Mr. Cheku Dorji, Education Attaché, Embassy of Bhutan, New Delhi, visited JGU on 21 January 2019. The purpose of the visit was to discuss collaboration with JGU in the areas of higher education, faculty exchange, research and conducting training programmes.
Jindal Institute of Behavioral Sciences organises a 5-day certificate course for JGU students on ‘Management Consulting Fundamentals’ from 21-25 January 2019
Jindal Institute of Behavioral Sciences (JIBS) organised a five-day certificate course for JGU students on ‘Management Consulting Fundamentals’ to understand the fundamental concepts of consultancy from 21-25 January 2019. The intended outcome of the course was to learn and practice essential consulting qualities and skills necessary with the ability to respond to business problems, and to propose creative and effective solutions.
Thirty-two students from three JGU schools (JGLS, JSGP and JGBS) attended the five-day certification course. The course commenced on 21 January with an Inaugural Address by Professor (Dr.) Sanjeev Sahni, explaining the concept of Management Consulting. Lt. Gen. Rajesh Kochhar who also addressed the students at the Inaugural Session and outlined the importance of Consultancy in today’s era. On 25 January 2019, Mr. Sanjeev Arora, Managing Director, Accenture Consulting was invited to deliver the valedictory address and share his views on the future of consultancy.
JIBS participates in International Round Table Discussion held at G.S Kostiuk Institute of Psychology of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences, Ukraine
Dr. Tamara Hovorun, Associate Professor & Joint Director, Jindal Institute of Behavioural Sciences (JIBS) and Dr. Manjushree Palit, Assistant Professor & Deputy Director, Jindal Institute of Behavioural Sciences (JIBS) participated in the International Round Table Discussion titled “Ukraine-India: Challenges in Cross-cultural studies in the field of Social Psychology” at the G.S Kostiuk Institute of Psychology of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences, Ukraine on 17 January 2019. Dr. Hovorun discussed on “Cross-cultural Dimensions: A Comparison of Indian and Ukrainian Culture.” During the talk, she focused on comparative cultural notions of gender, patriarchal, and collectivistic traditions and implications for cross-cultural studies in this area. Dr. Palit spoke on “Gender and Intimate Partner Violence in India”, which elaborated on the social and public health problem of intimate partner violence (IPV), prevalence and resources available for the IPV survivors in Indian cultural context.

Dr. Palit talked on ‘Basic Skills of Counselling’ and Dr. Tithi Bhatnagar talked about ‘Subjective Well-being’.
