Pratibha is currently pursuing her J.S.D. from Chicago- Kent College of Law, USA, under the supervision of Professor Graeme B. Dinwoodie, on Bilateral Investment Treaties and Investor- State Dispute Settlement Mechanism. She wrote her LL.M. Thesis on “A Critique on Bilateral Investment Treaties with Special Reference to India”. Her areas of interest include International Investment Law, International Criminal Law and Environmental Law. Her research articles/chapters have been published by Oxford University Press; TOAEP, Brussels etc. She has presented papers at various international conferences at U.S.A, U.K., Netherlands, and Italy. Currently she is working on “COVID-19 Collective Project on Global Governance” under the supervision of Professor Sungjoon Cho, Chicago-Kent College of Law, USA. As a CMN Fellow (pro bono) of Centre for International Law, Research and Policy (CILRAP), Belgium, she is responsible for content-maintenance and development of the UN Security Council Resolutions Collection and the country folder for Sri Lanka in the National Jurisdictions Collection in the Legal Tools Database and received “Outstanding Young Scholars Award” for scholarly contribution to the International Research in 2017.
Before joining JGLS, she worked at National Law University Delhi (NLUD) for two and a half years, as a Research Associate. While pursuing her LL.B., she worked, as an intern, in the offices of Justice A.K. Sikri, Judge, Supreme Court of India; Justice Siddharth Mridul, Judge, High Court of Delhi; Mr. Sidharth Luthra, Senior Advocate; Luthra & Luthra Law Offices; Vaish Associates, Indian Institute of Public Administration and National Commission for Women.
