Vikas Bhuvana Muralidharan is a TRIP Fellow and Academic Tutor at Jindal Global Law School, O.P. Jindal Global University.
Vikas completed his B.B.A., LL.B. (Hons) from Sastra Deemed to be University, Tamil Nadu in 2018. During his undergraduation course, he was a prolific mooter, participating in a dozen moot court competitions and winning 8 of them- including the International Trademark Association Moot 2018 held in Singapore, apart from winning multiple individual awards for Best Student Advocate/Speaker. He also participated in (and won) various moots on International Humanitarian Law and Constitutional Law. In 2016, Vikas completed courses on The Law of International Organizations, Economic, Cultural and Social Rights and International Humanitarian Law from Washington College of Law, American University, Washington D.C.
After completing his undergraduation, Vikas joined the office of Senior Advocate Sriram Panchu at the Madras High Court, assisting him in several high profile cases, including the mediation in the Ayodhya Babri Masjid-Ram Janmabhoomi dispute.
Vikas has also published various papers such as “How to determine the extent and scope of the powers of International Organizations” ((ISSN 2394-5044) and “Whether Social and Economic rights such as the Right to Food, Shelter, etc which require expenditure by the State can be guaranteed as basic rights of citizens by domestic courts?” (ISSN 2454-8715). He also co-authored the “India” chapter of Lexology’s global Mediation guide “Getting The Deal Through” in 2018 with Senior Advocate Sriram Panchu.
Vikas then completed his LL.M. in General Legal Studies from O.P. Jindal Global University in 2020, securing the University’s Gold Medal and the Dean’s Award for Outstanding Overall Performance that year.
