Surabhi Singh is a lecturer at Jindal Global Law School. She graduated with a B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) degree from National Law Institute University, Bhopal in 2014. After briefly working with Amarchand Mangaldas Suresh A. Shroff & Co., Mumbai as a member of the project finance team, Surabhi joined the office of Advocate Veena Gowda, a women’s rights lawyer in Mumbai. Since then, Surabhi has built her own litigation practice primarily in the area of women’s rights, working on issues of violence against women, women’s reproductive rights and women in the criminal justice system. In 2019, she received a Women’s Rights Fellowship and the J.N. Tata Scholarship to pursue her Masters in Law (LL.M.) from the University of Toronto, where she specialized in Women and Gender Studies.
Her research interests include the areas of violence against women, family law reforms in India, gender as a site of health reforms and access to courts and legal aid in India.
