Saheli Chakraborty holds an LLM. Degree with specialisation in International and Comparative Law from National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata and BA.LLB (Hons.) Degree from University of Calcutta. Recently, she has submitted her LLM Dissertation on “Critically analysing the Refugee Protection in India”. She is the recipient of Student of the Year 2018, by the Gurukul Awards, and was also the youngest delegate to have participated in Youth for Peace 2017, held at Thailand. In the past she has worked as a Research Intern at Centre for Regulatory Studies, Governance and Public Policy, NUJS, Kolkata , State Legal Services Authority, West Bengal and many more.
Saheli has published on International Air and Space Law, International Refugee law, Human Rights in several national and international journals. Her area of interest includes International Public Law, International Refugee Law, International Air Law and International Human Rights. She also serves as the Global Leadership Team Coordinator of Lions Clubs International, District 322B2, and is engaged in doing voluntary service in the rural areas of Bengal, for several years. As the Chairperson of International Conclave of Conflict Resolution, a premier event in Eastern India, she spends much time in organising academic events and programs.
