Prof. Raabia is a graduate of the School of Law, University of Essex, where she attended the LL.M in International Human Rights programme, on the University of Essex Academic Excellence Scholarship. She received her B.A. LL.B from Chanakya National Law University, Patna, and has qualified the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC in 2016.

Before joining JGU, she held the position of an Assistant Professor of Law at National University of Study and Research in Law, Ranchi, for two years, where she handled subjects for the students specializing in constitutional law and international law.

Prior to joining academics, she worked as a Research Consultant for Daksh Society for a project commissioned by the Ministry of Law, Department of Justice. She was employed as a Project Officer for the Essex Human Rights Centre Clinic during her postgraduate studies. In such capacity, she co – authored a parallel report submitted to the Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights by the JustFair consortium in October 2015.

Her specialization is in International Human Rights Law. Her research interests are in the areas of International Human Rights Law, International Humanitarian Law, Laws Pertaining to Indigenous & Tribal Societies, and the Law of Health & Medicine.
