Prof. Kinshuk Jha is Associate Professor and Executive Director, Centre for Comparative and International Taxation at Jindal Global Law School. He attained his bachelor degrees in Business Administration and Law from Symbiosis Law School, Pune in 2009. He was awarded the Erasmus Mundus scholarship to pursue a LLM in European Law at University of Rouen, France and Leibniz University, Germany. Prior to joining Jindal Global Law School in 2013, he primarily practiced in matters relating to Transfer Pricing, DTAAs and Authority for Advance Ruling. At Jindal Global Law School, he was instrumental in setting up the Executive LLM program (Taxation). He teaches domestic and international taxation laws at both, undergraduate and postgraduate levels. He has been involved in several academic and technical projects, ranging from innovations at the level of higher secondary education in India, where he co-authored the Legal Studies textbook for CBSE, to being part of the recent USTR investigations of India’s Digital Services Tax . In 2017, based on his investigations in the domain of taxpayer rights in India, he was granted a visiting scholarship at the IBFD, Amsterdam. His work focuses on taxpayer rights, anti-abuse provisions and digital taxation. Through his work, he aims to discern solutions to contemporary fiscal policy issues. He is also an avid traveller, an Indian classical musician and a sports enthusiast.
