Isha Das holds a Masters in Law (LL.M) in Public International Law from University College London where she graduated with a Distinction in 2019 and a Bachelors in Law from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University in 2018. Her LL.M focused on International Economic Laws, augmenting her firm base on WTO law, International law of Foreign Investment and International Energy law. Prior to joining JGLS, she worked at the World Trade Organization (WTO), first as an intern and then on a Short Term Contract. At the WTO, she worked on complex environment-related trade notifications made by WTO Members under various WTO Agreements. She has also worked in the International Trade Law team of L&L Partners where she assisted the team in trade remedies investigations initiated by the Directorate General of Trade Remedies against imports of products from various countries. She assisted in representing foreign clients in these investigations. From October 2020, she has also been empanelled as an external Junior Consultant to the Centre for Trade and Investment Law, Delhi to undertake research assignments concerning WTO law, on behalf of the Ministry of Trade and Commerce, Government of India. Isha’s research areas include WTO law and International law of Foreign Investment. She has co-authored a chapter titled ‘External Benchmark Choices in Anti-Dumping and Countervailing Duty Proceedings: A Battle of Proxies?’ in book titled ‘Non- Market Economies In The Global Trading System: The Special Case Of China’ which was edited by James J. Nedumpara And Weihuan Zhou. This book was published by Springer in 2018 and provides a comprehensive analysis of Non-Market Economies and their treatment under the current world trading system disciplines.
