Ms. Ananya Singh is a Teaching and Research Fellow and Academic Tutor at Jindal Global Law School. Ms. Singh holds LL.M. in Corporate and Financial Laws and Policy and B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) degree from O.P. Jindal Global University. She has a strong interest in research areas concerning the regulation of proxy advisory firms in India and the justifiability of increasing remuneration of the board of directors. Ms. Singh has also worked as a Legal Associate at the Association of Independent Directors of India, where she was involved in playing an active role in assisting capacity building workshops for the serving and potential board of directors, developing policy proposals, making government representations on key corporate governance issues and in bringing together independent directors from various sectors to work together as a collective. During her LL.M., Ms. Singh consistently focused on qualitative research with a special focus on corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, and intersections of law, business and human rights, and produced three papers which are currently distributed on Social Science Research Network (SSRN).
