Mr. Deepayan Malaviya is an Academic Tutor and Teaching & Research for Intellectual Pursuit (TRIP) Fellow at O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU). He has completed his LL.B (Hons.) from the Faculty of Law, University of Lucknow, Lucknow and his LL.M. (Masters in Access to Justice) from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. His areas of interest include Agriculture Law, Criminal Law and Human Rights. Further, he has presented a paper titled “biodiversity and the biodiversity act, 2002: An Interaction of the indigenous with the sovereign-a step towards sustainable development?” in the ‘National Seminar on Consumerism, Social Equity and Environmental Sustainability’ organized by the Academic Development Committee, B.S.N.V PG College, Lucknow. Apart from Research oriented work Mr. Deepayan Malaviya has also won as the runner-up in the prestigious 14th K.K. Luthra Memorial Moot Court Competition, 2018 and participated in the 18th Henry Dunant Memorial Moot Court Competition, 2018. Further, he was also the Student Co-Convener of the Moot Court Committee of Faculty of Law, University of Lucknow for the year 2018-19.
