Professor Shaun Star, Associate Professor and Associate Dean at JGLS, received the 2021 A. Noam Chomsky Global Connections Award under the category of ‘Rising Star – Emerging Scholar Certificate’, awarded by the Society of Transnational Academic Researchers (STAR).

The award is presented to scholars who have demonstrated significant promise in advancing transnational research through publications, leadership and other relevant contributions. The award was presented at the STAR 2021 Global Conference hosted by JGU. Professor Noam Chomsky delivered the keynote presentation during the award ceremony.
