Syed Abdullah Ashraf is an Assistant Professor in Information Systems & Analytics at Jindal Global Business School. He received his doctoral degree in Information Systems and Business Analytics at the Indian Institute of Management Ranchi. He has completed Master of Business Administration from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh and Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science & Engineering from Kamla Nehru institute of Technology, Sultanpur, Uttar Pradesh. His doctoral thesis centres on advanced artificial intelligence techniques for detecting and mitigating online review fraud in the hospitality industry. Ashraf's research interests include financial analytics, recommender systems, and technology adoption in business. His work has been presented at prominent international conferences such as Conf-IRM and the Australasian Conference on Information Systems and has been published in reputable journals. His current projects include investigating Fintech adoption among MSMEs, developing serendipitous recommender systems to boost user engagement, and anomaly detection.
In his teaching role, Ashraf focuses on courses including E-Commerce, Python, Social Media Analytics, Machine Learning using Python, Cybersecurity, and Cyber Law, and Business Mathematics.
