Biography

Dr. Richa Kapoor Mehra is working as an Associate Professor of Philosophy and Area chair of Social Sciences and Humanities (SSH) at O.P Jindal Global University, India, she has earned her PhD in Philosophy from Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi. While pursuing PhD, she was recipient of Junior Research Fellowship from prestigious Indian Council of Philosophical Research (ICPR). She has completed Masters and bachelor’s in philosophy from Miranda House, University of Delhi. She was awarded with Miranda House award and Delhi University rankers prize for scoring highest marks in bachelor’s program. She has also worked at Miranda House, University of Delhi, Amity University, Noida, B.M.L Munjal University and IIIT Kalyani. Recently she has designed a course on Critical Thinking and Analysis for undergraduate business students at O.P Jindal Business School. Dr. Mehra has launched the department of philosophy at Amity University, Noida and hence designed various philosophy course for undergraduate students. She has been awarded with the Excellent Academician Award, in an International Conference organized by University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka. She has presented several research papers in National and International conferences and have considerable publications to her credit. Her area of specialization involves Philosophy of Mind and Philosophy of Language. Her current research interests include Emotional Intelligence, Human well-being, Virtual Reality, Artificial Intelligence, and its ethical concerns.
