Rajendra Dave, formerly known as Rajendra Baraiya, is an Assistant Professor in Operations Management and Supply Chain at Jindal Global Business School (JGBS), O.P. Jindal Global University (Institute of Eminence), Sonipat, Haryana. He earned his PhD from the Indian Institute of Management, Indore, where he conducted research on the ‘Shared Capacity Routing Problem for Buy-Online-Pickup-in-Store Fulfilment.’
He has made significant contributions to the field through his publications in highly regarded international and national journals, including Transportation Research Part E: Logistics and Transportation Review (ABDC A*, ABS 3), Computers & Industrial Engineering (ABDC A, ABS 2), Indian Journal of Industrial Relations (ABDC C), Sustainability, and Journal of Manufacturing Processes. His work has been presented at several prestigious conferences, such as POMS 2021, NEDSI 2021, and IEOM Singapore 2021. His exceptional research has earned him the ‘Outstanding Young Research Scholar Award’ at the IEOM India 2021 conference, as well as best paper awards at DC 2019 – MNIT Jaipur, ICORDS 2019 – IIM Visakhapatnam, DOCMAD 2020 – IRMA Anand, and IEOM Singapore 2021.
He serves as an associate editor of the International Journal of Mathematical, Engineering and Management Sciences (Scopus) and is an active reviewer for numerous esteemed journals, including Computers & Industrial Engineering, Annals of Operations Research, Journal of Cleaner Production, Journal of Business Research, International Journal of Quality & Reliability Management, International Journal of Productivity & Performance Management, Operations Management Research, IMA Journal of Management Mathematics, and Sustainable Production and Consumption. He has also chaired sessions at various conferences, including POMS 2021, NEDSI 2021, IEOM Singapore 2021, and IEOM India 2021. He holds memberships in professional organizations such as IEOM, POMS, and WCTRS.
At JGBS, he holds several key administrative roles. He is the Assistant Dean for Additional Learning Support in the Office of Academic Affairs (OAA), a member of the Office of External Research Grants (OERG), and the Associate Director of the Centre of Excellence for Lean Practices (CELP) under the Research Centre for Digital Circular Economy for Sustainable Development Goals (DCE-SDG). His previous roles include serving as a faculty advisor and member of the IEEE Technology, Engineering, and Management Society (TEMS) at IIM Indore, as well as an advisory and core member of the Career Development Committee (CDC) at IIM Indore.
He has actively organized and participated in numerous academic events. In early 2023, he co-coordinated an AICTE ATAL academy-sponsored two-week FDP on Reverse Logistics and Supply Chain Management. He was also the conference coordinator for the Academy of International Business – South Asia Chapter Conference on Environmental Social and Governance Issues in January 2023. He served as a conference organizing volunteer for the World Conference on Transportation Research Society – Young Initiative (WCTRS-Y) mini-conference in Montreal, Canada, in July 2023. Additionally, he contributed as an organizing member for the WCTRS-Y Virtual Meet on Young Transport Academics’ Career Development in July 2022.
In July 2024, he was an organizing committee member for the ICSSR sponsored two-week Capacity Building Programme for Young Social Science Researchers on Research Methodologies in Business Sustainability Research. Furthermore, he was a faculty organizing volunteer for a two-day workshop on “SDG 12: Responsible Production and Consumption” in November 2023 and a course organizing volunteer for an ATAL academy-sponsored two-week FDP on Circular Economy in September 2022.
