Biography

Dr. Somosri Hore is an Assistant Professor and Assistant Dean at the Office of Career and Professional Development in the Business School at O.P. Jindal Global University, India. With a strong academic foundation from Lady Shri Ram College for Women, University of Delhi, where she completed both her undergraduate and postgraduate studies, she went on to pursue her doctoral research in Medical Ethics at the University of Delhi.

Her intellectual journey is anchored in a deep interest in questions of morality, responsibility, and justice. She works across the domains of ethics, applied ethics, bioethics, socio-political philosophy, and business ethics. At present, she is extending her scholarship to the pressing ethical challenges posed by emerging technologies, particularly in the field of artificial intelligence and ethics.

Dr.Hore has actively shared her research at internationally reputed platforms, presenting papers at Oxford University, the Harvard Faculty Club, and Rennes University 2, France. She has a growing body of publications in UGC-listed as well as Scopus-indexed journals, and her work has been recognized with a Best Paper Award. In addition to her own publications, she also serves as a peer reviewer for both Scopus and non-Scopus indexed journals, contributing to the academic community by maintaining rigorous standards of research quality.

Her teaching and mentoring experience spans reputed Indian institutions such as Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), Gargi College, and the University of Delhi. At O.P. Jindal Global University, she combines her teaching, administrative, and mentorship roles to guide students not only in academic excellence but also in professional development.
