Tanieem Noor Darvesh is an Assistant Professor at Jindal Global Business School. She holds a PhD in Management with a specialisation in Public Policy from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. Her research lies at the intersection of gender economics, development economics, and public policy, focusing on intra-household inequality, women’s asset ownership, and multidimensional poverty measurement in the Global South.
Her work examines how gendered institutions and policy interventions shape women’s economic agency, rights, and time use. Her empirical research focuses on gendered property rights, the causal impacts of education policy on women’s time allocation, and the measurement of individual-level poverty in South Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa. Dr. Darvesh has also worked as a Research Consultant with the Asian Development Bank on population ageing and intra-household allocation of resources in Asia. Her research has been presented at leading international conferences, including the Population Association of America (PAA), the International Association for Feminist Economics (IAFFE), and the ADB Economists Forum.
