Biography

Siddharth Prajapati is a Ph.D. research scholar in Operations Management at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee, where his research focuses on the application of Artificial Intelligence to enhance the performance and social sustainability of humanitarian supply chains. His academic interests include humanitarian and disaster relief logistics, mathematical optimization, heuristics, artificial intelligence applications, and multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM). His work aims to support effective, data-driven, and socially responsible decision-making in complex and uncertainty-driven environments.

His research integrates advanced analytical methodologies, including machine learning, fuzzy logic, DEMATEL, TISM–MICMAC, and mathematical optimization models. He has published his research in Scopus (Q1) and ABDC (A)-indexed journals, including studies on AI application and social sustainability performance measurement in humanitarian supply chains, and several additional manuscripts are currently under review. He has also presented his work at reputable national and international conferences, including the POMS India International Conference and the Global Conference on Flexible Systems Management.

Siddharth Prajapati is proficient in Python, MATLAB, and CPLEX, and regularly works with tools such as Pyomo, Scikit-learn, MATLAB Optimization Toolbox, SPSS, and Excel Solver for analytics and optimization modeling. His research training is supported by participation in multiple faculty development programs and workshops in optimization, artificial intelligence, machine learning, and
research methodology.

In addition to research, he has experience in course design and academic support as a Teaching Assistant at IIT Roorkee and for NPTEL, EMBA, and Coursera courses. He has contributed to course design, assessment development, learner engagement, and student mentoring at undergraduate, postgraduate, and executive levels. His academic mission is to translate rigorous research into practical, impactful, and socially sustainable solutions for humanitarian and supply chain management.
