Biography

Dr. Mohit Tyagi is an Assistant Professor in Operations Management and Decision Sciences at the Jindal Global Business School (JGBS), O.P. Jindal Global University (Institution of Eminence Deemed To Be University). He holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, along with an M.Tech. in Industrial and Production Engineering from the NIT, Kurukshetra, and a B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from GJUST, Hisar.

Dr. Tyagi’s research interests include Operations and Supply Chain Management, Revenue Management, Applications of Operations Research, Marketing Science, and Digital Supply Chains. His doctoral research focused on optimizing revenue management strategies for the hospitality industry, with emphasis on customer acquisition, retention, and subscription-based pricing models. His work integrates analytical modelling, optimization, and data-driven methods to address managerial and policy-oriented challenges.

He has published in reputed international journals such as the Journal of Cleaner Production and the Journal of Revenue and Pricing Management. His research reflects a strong commitment to methodological rigor, practical relevance, and societal impact.

Dr. Tyagi has received several academic recognitions, including the Research Excellence Travel Award (RETA) from IIT Delhi, the Research Scholar Travel Award (RSTA), and the Second Runner-Up award in the Emerging Leaders Competition at the 5th Pritam Singh Memorial Conference.

Before joining JGBS, Dr. Tyagi served as a Senior Project Scientist at the Public Systems Lab, IIT Delhi, where he worked on government-funded projects related to large-scale logistics and food distribution systems. He later served as an Assistant Professor at the School of Management, Bennett University, Greater Noida.

Dr. Tyagi has presented his research at international conferences in China, Singapore, the UAE, and the Philippines. In teaching, he emphasizes experiential learning, analytical thinking, and industry engagement. His academic mission is to advance impactful research and nurture socially responsible and globally competent professionals.
