Biography

Diksha Lalwani is a Lecturer in Finance at the Jindal Global Business School (JGBS), O.P. Jindal Global University, India. She is currently pursuing her doctorate in Finance at the Department of Management Studies, IIT Delhi, where she is a recipient of the UGC Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). She has completed the Centre for Asian Business and Economics (CABE) PhD Master Class organised by the University of Melbourne, Australia. She holds a Master of Commerce (M.Com) from Hansraj College, University of Delhi, and a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com Honours) from Daulat Ram College, University of Delhi.

Her research interests include earnings management, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, and financial reporting. Her doctoral research examines earnings management behavior around mergers and acquisitions, offering empirical insights into corporate financial reporting practices of emerging market firms.

During her doctoral studies, she has published her research in reputed peer-reviewed ABDClisted journals, including the Journal of Accounting Literature (ABDC-A) and the International Journal of Accounting, Auditing, and Performance Evaluation (ABDC-C). She has presented her research at international conferences across the United States, Europe, the United Kingdom, and Vietnam. She has received the IIT Delhi Research Scholars’ Travel Award and the Research Excellence Travel Award. In addition, she has contributed to a sponsored government research project in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Government of India.

Alongside her research, Diksha has close to two years of teaching experience in finance and accounting at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Before joining JGBS, she served as an Assistant Professor of Finance at IILM University, Greater Noida. Prior to her doctoral studies, she worked as a Guest Lecturer at the NCWEB and the School of Open Learning (SOL), University of Delhi, and as a Faculty Member and Content Developer (Accounting) at D&G Academy, Delhi.
