Amit Kumar Chaudhary is a doctoral scholar in the field of Information Systems at the Indian Institute of Management Indore, India. His research interests broadly encompass Artificial Intelligence, algorithmic bias, digital platforms, and the gig economy, with a particular focus on the social, ethical, and organizational implications of algorithmic decision-making systems. He is also interested in examining how digital technologies contribute to or hinder the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Prior to his PhD, he completed a Master of Technology in Industrial Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (ISM), Dhanbad. His master’s thesis focused on Industry 4.0, where he explored the adoption of advanced manufacturing technologies and their impact on operational efficiency and organizational performance. During his postgraduate studies, he also undertook an industrial internship at Jindal Steel and Power Limited (JSPL), Angul, Odisha, where he worked on multiple process optimization and operational improvement projects, gaining practical exposure to large-scale industrial systems.
Amit holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV), Bhopal. His interdisciplinary academic training enables him to integrate engineering perspectives with information systems and management research. He has presented his work at several reputed national and international conferences and is actively engaged in developing high-quality research manuscripts for publication in leading academic journals. Through his research, he aims to contribute to scholarly debates on responsible AI, platform governance, and the future of work in digitally mediated environments.
