Biography

Bhavesh Bhatnagar is a Lecturer in Operations Management and Supply Chain at the Jindal Global Business School (JGBS), O.P. Jindal Global (Institution of Eminence Deemed To Be University). He has done his doctorate in Operations Management from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Ranchi. He holds an M.E. in Industrial Engineering & Management from SGSITS, Indore, and a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering.

His research focuses on Industry 4.0 technology road-mapping, digitalization strategies, and the development of resilient supply chains. He possesses extensive skillsets in quantitative modelling, including Game Theory, Optimal Control Theory, Mixed Integer Linear Programming (MILP), and System Dynamics. His scholarly work is published in esteemed international journals such as the Journal of Enterprise Information Management (ABDC-A) , and he has presented his research at global platforms like the IEOM and POMS conferences.

With over four years of industrial experience, he has held roles as an Assistant Manager at Kirloskar Brothers Ltd and Roca India. His industry contributions include optimizing supply chain networks, implementing Lean Six Sigma methodologies, leading large-scale digital transformations using SAP HANA. Notably, he played a key role in his plant receiving the TPM Excellence Award from JIPM by implementing focused improvement pillar. His achievements also include reducing procurement costs by 15% , improving assembly line productivity by 20%.  He is a certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt from Indian Statistical Institute, Bangalore and has completed professional certifications in Business and Operations Analytics from IIM Mumbai.

His academic foundation is supported by strong national-level credentials, having secured an All-India Rank of AIR 73 (PI) and AIR 1580 (ME 99.3 percentile) in GATE and successfully clearing the ISRO Scientist/Engineer and BARC examinations.
