Biography

Mr. Abhinay Nedunuru is a doctoral scholar in Strategic Management at the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode. He holds an MBA in Insurance Management from Pondicherry University and a B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from Kakatiya University. 

His doctoral research, titled Green Signals, Grey Realities: Three Essays on Symbolic and Substantive Corporate ESG Responses to ESG Drivers, examines how organizations respond to environmental, social, and governance pressures, with particular emphasis on ESG decoupling, performance feedback, executive incentives, corporate recognition, and substantive sustainability decisions. His broader research interests lie at the intersection of corporate strategy, sustainability, corporate social responsibility, the behavioral theory of the firm, and emerging-market institutions. His work has been published in the International Journal of Disclosure and Governance.

Mr. Abhinay has presented his research at leading international and national scholarly forums, including the Academy of Management Annual Meeting, the British Academy of Management Conference, the Indian Strategy Conference at the Indian School of Business, the Strategic Management Forum, and conferences hosted by IIM Ahmedabad and IIM Kashipur. His research has received recognition through a Best Paper Award and a Strategic Management Society Division travel and membership grant.

Before entering academia, he accumulated seven years of managerial experience in India’s insurance sector, working with ICICI Lombard, Bharti AXA, IFFCO Tokio, and an insurance technology venture. His responsibilities included strategic partnerships, product development, underwriting, resource allocation, team leadership, and partner training. He is also a Fellow of the Insurance Institute of India and contributes as a reviewer for academic journals and major management conferences.
