Biography

Karthik Bhuvanagiri works as a lecturer in the area of Organizational Behaviour and Human Resource Management area at Jindal Global Business School, O.P Jindal Global University, Sonipat, Haryana. He is pursuing his PhD (formerly known as FPM) from IIM Indore in the area of Organizational Behaviour and Human Resource Management Area. Before doing his PhD, he did a Master’s in Management (Strategy & Consulting) from EBS Business School, Germany, a Global Management Program from SPJIMR, Mumbai, and a BTech in Food Technology & Management from NIFTEM, Kundli, Haryana. Post his bachelor’s he worked as a Manufacturing executive with ITC Ltd Foods Division and worked as a sales intern with ITC Ltd Paper Boards division. In Organizational Behaviour, he has diverse research interests ranging from Micro Organizational Behavior (Social Psychology driven topics such as Social Hierarchies, identity & identification, Social Influence, and Groups & teams) to Macro Organizational behavior (neo-institutional theory, family businesses organizational Identity). In Human Resource Management, his research interests range from Micro HRM (IO Psychology topics) to Macro HRM (Strategic Human Resource Management, Employee Mobility and Talent Management). To operationalize his research, he uses Quantitative methods (i.e. Survey based and quasi-experimental research) and qualitative methods (i.e. interpretive qualitative research such as narrative analysis and Foucauldian discourse analysis). He has presented his work at annual conferences of AOM, EGOS, EURAM, and BAM. His work has been selected for the annual conferences of AOM, EGOS, EURAM, ANZAM, and BAM.
