Dr.  Radhakrishnan is a maritime economist. As maritime practice leader in PwC India, he led consulting engagements working for the World Bank, IFC, national, foreign, and state governments. He has worked with almost all major Indian corporates with interests in the infrastructure sector in PPP projects.

He has also held senior academic-administrative appointments during his long career. Chief Instructor (Navigation) and Training Coordinator in Submarine Training School, Vizag, GM in Career Launcher and Director in Shashi Consultancy. Earlier, as Commanding Officer of a National Cadet Corps Unit between 1995-1998, he had overall responsibilities for training and certifying 4500 students, with 45 faculty from 45 colleges across 5 universities in South Tamil Nadu reporting to him. 

Ganesh holds Master Mariner qualifications, is a graduate of the National Defence Academy with an MBA (IIM Kozhikode) with majors in Operations and Finance, and a Doctorate (IIM Ahmedabad) in Public Systems. He was commissioned into the executive branch of the Indian Navy, and has specialisation in special forces, and submarines. He has seen combat in IPKF and OP Cactus.
