Biography

Dr. Sunitha Ratnakaram is an academic leader with over 18 years of experience in teaching, research, and administration. She holds a doctoral degree in Marketing from the Indian Institute of Management Lucknow and is a triple postgraduate. Her expertise lies in social media marketing, consumer behavior, and qualitative research.

Since joining JGBS in July 2017, she has held key leadership roles, currently serving as Senior Associate Dean, Office of Academic Affairs. She has also been Associate Dean, Program Dean, and Area Chair. Prior to her doctoral studies, she spent over a decade teaching at the postgraduate level and managing academic programs in autonomous B-schools.

Her research focuses on the impact of social media on consumer perceptions. She has published 11 Scopus-indexed papers, including one in an ABDC A-listed journal, and contributed to edited volumes. She actively presents her work at leading academic forums and has received recognition, including a Best Paper Presenter award at an international conference. She also qualified for UGC-NET with Junior Research Fellowship.

Dr. Ratnakaram’s academic contributions have attracted significant engagement, with her presentations receiving over 100,000 views on AuthorStream.
