Dr. Shivam Rai is an Assistant Professor (Marketing area) in the Jindal Global Business School at the O.P. Jindal Global University (An Institution of Eminence). He has earned his doctoral degree from IIT Roorkee and has completed Master of Business Administration from the University of Allahabad. He has a rich blend of work experience from both Academics as well as Industry. Prior to joining JGBS, he has taught at reputed institutions like XIM University, Bhubaneswar and CMS Business School, Bengaluru. Prior to the academic assignment, he has served in the industry for about 2.5 years in the domains of trade show event marketing and business development, and software services.
His research interests include Business and non-business event marketing, consumer psychology, brand experience and brand happiness. Prof. Shivam’s research work has been published in reputed journals like Journal of Business Ethics, Event Management, Tourism Review, International journal of event and festival management, Environment, Development and Sustainability, Journal of Tourism Futures, and Journal of Quality Assurance in Hospitality & Tourism.
