Biography

Dr. Sanlap Acharya is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Information Systems and Analytics at the Jindal Global Business School, O. P. Jindal Global University. He is also serving as the Programme Dean for BBA (Business Analytics), and one-year Global MBA (Business Analytics). He has completed his Ph. D. in Information Systems Management from the Indian Institute of Management Indore. Prior to that, Prof. Sanlap completed his B. Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering from Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology. Kolkata. He works in the domain of social media analytics, social networking, health informatics, disruptive technology, and artificial intelligence. Apart from academic practices, Prof. Acharya is a trained Hindustani Classical singer and loves to engage himself in musical activities. His dissertation topic involved prediction of music popularity and the impact of social networks on music.
