Dr. Paribhasha Sharma is an Associate Professor in the area of General Management at Jindal Global Business School. She is a fellow from Indian Institute of Management Calcutta. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Science and Masters in Rural Development. Her doctoral research is in the area of gender and governance in urban India. She has received the best publication award for graduating doctoral student for the year 2017 at the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, a Gold Medal for securing first position in Post Graduate Diploma in Rural Development at the Xavier Institute of Social Service, Ranchi and Sir Ratan Tata Trust Merit Scholarship. She has published in ABDC journals as well as presented scholarly papers in various national and international conferences. She has also worked as an editorial assistant for the journal Decision published by IIM Calcutta. Her current research interests lie in the area of public policy and governance, urban management, gender issues in management and corporate social responsibility.

Paribhasha has significant experience in the development sector. She worked with CAPART (under the aegis of Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India) where she helped an NGO in planning, implementing and monitoring a tribal livelihood project in Jharkhand as part of the corporate social responsibility of Tata Steel. She conducted project appraisal for funding and monitoring of CAPART funded projects in the states of Odisha, Chhattisgarh and West Bengal. She worked as a Research Associate with J-PAL South Asia. At J-PAL, she managed a large-scale randomized evaluation of an education program in Bihar. She also conducted a qualitative study for an education project of J-PAL South Asia in Uttarakhand and Bi.
