Dr. Leena Sachdeva is an Assistant Professor in Organizational Behaviour and Human Resource Management (OB & HR) area at Jindal Global Business School. She completed her Ph.D. program at the Indian Institute of Management Kashipur. Her doctoral dissertation explored the lived experiences of women related to their under-representation in non-traditional occupations. It further investigated how organizational policies and trade union initiatives have tried to respond to these issues.
Her research interests include gender issues in non-traditional occupations, work–life balance, and strategic human resource management. She has published several research papers and a case study in leading ABDC-ranked, peer-reviewed journals. She has also received an appreciation letter from the Project Director, of the ICSSR Research Project, Indian Institute of Management Visakhapatnam for successfully conducting a workshop as a part of the ICSSR project, “Women-led Business and Challenges to their Scalability – A Study in Andhra Pradesh”.
In addition to her research skills, Leena is versatile in teaching. She is JRF qualified and cracked UGC-NET four times in human resource management. She possesses 6 years of industry and teaching experience. She has in-depth knowledge and experience in teaching several courses to undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral level students. Her teaching interests consist of strategic human resource management, organizational behaviour, talent management, diversity and inclusion management and qualitative research methods.
Dr. Leena is a well-travelled person. She has presented her research work at various international and national conferences and doctoral colloquiums across the world. During her doctoral journey, she has received $4000 in funding and several scholarships for presenting her research work from reputed organizations such as the International Labor Organization, Switzerland, the University of British Columbia, Canada, National Academies of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine, California, USA, SHASTRI Indo-Canadian Institute and International Labor and Employment Relations Association, South Korea.
