Biography

Prof. Ashish Dwivedi is Associate Dean of the Office of External Research Grants and Full Professor of Operations Management and Decision Sciences at Jindal Global Business School, O.P. Jindal Global University, an Institution of Eminence Deemed to be University in Sonipat, India. He also serves as Visiting Faculty at the School of Business Administration, American University of Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, and as Visiting Professor at the College of Business and Economics, University of Johannesburg, South Africa. His extensive teaching, research, and academic leadership experience across India, the United Arab Emirates, and South Africa enables him to bring a distinctly global perspective to management education and research.

Prof. Dwivedi earned his PhD from the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, India. He holds an MTech in Mechanical Engineering, with a specialization in Computer-Aided Design and Manufacturing, from Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology Allahabad, Prayagraj, India, as well as a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.

His research focuses on sustainable, digital, resilient, and circular supply chains, operations management, decision sciences, humanitarian logistics, digital transformation, and technologyenabled operations management. His scholarly work has appeared in several internationally renowned journals, including Energy Economics, Business Strategy and the Environment, Annals of Operations Research, Journal of Cleaner Production, Global Journal of Flexible Systems Management, International Journal of Disaster Risk Reduction, The International Journal of Logistics Management, International Journal of Physical Distribution & Logistics Management, and Technological Forecasting and Social Change, among others.

Prof. Dwivedi’s research contributions have earned him significant national and international recognition through prestigious awards and global research rankings. He received Second Prize in the Basant Kumar Birla Distinguished Researcher Award 2022 in recognition of his outstanding publication record in ABDC A*, ABDC A, and ABS 3-rated journals over a fiveyear period. He has also secured competitive research funding as a Program Investigator and Co-Director from the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India, and the Indian Council of Social Science Research.

Beyond his research contributions, Prof. Dwivedi plays an active role in advancing scholarly publishing and doctoral education. He serves on the editorial boards of several leading international journals and has guest-edited special issues for reputed academic publications. He supervises and co-supervises doctoral researchers in India and South Africa and has examined numerous PhD theses across Indian universities. Through his research and academic leadership, he seeks to develop innovative and practically relevant solutions to contemporary global supply chain and operations management challenges.
