Biography

Dr. Anshu Sharma is Associate Professor of Organisational Behavior and Human Resource Management at Jindal Global Business School (JGBS) at O. P. Jindal Global University (JGU). In this capacity of Senior Associate Dean for the Office of Online and Blended Education (OOBE), she is the head of all online programmes offered by JGBS. With close to a decade of experience in reputed management institutions, she has held positions of administrative and academic leadership, wherein she has served as the Chairperson for Student Life, Associate Dean for full-time residential MBA program, and Area Coordinator for OB-HR area. 

Dr. Sharma has completed the Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) from the Management Development Institute (MDI, Gurgaon). She qualified UGC NET in Management and received Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) during the FPM Programme. She holds BTech in Computer Science Engineering degree (First Class Honors) and holds MBA degree in Human Resource Management and International Business (First Class with merit scholarship).

Her doctoral research has been awarded ‘Highly Commended Award for Emerald Outstanding Doctoral Research Awards 2017’. Her research paper titled ‘HR analytics and performance appraisal system’ has also been awarded ‘Highly Commended paper at Emerald Literari Awards 2018’. She has received several awards: the ‘Excellence in Teaching Award 2016-17’, ‘Best All-Round Contributor 2016-17’ and ‘Faculty Research Award 2019-20 & 2020-21’ to name a few.

Dr. Sharma is a Certified Assessment Expert from AON Hewitt Knowledge Centre, Gurgaon. She holds certificates in ‘Teaching through simulations’ and ‘Case Method Teaching’ organized by Harvard Business Publishing and Indian Institute of Management-Ahmedabad Case Center, Programing certifications in C and Core Java languages from NIIT India. She has completed certificate courses in Behavioral Science, Business Communication, online course in ‘Learning to Teach Online.’

She is an active member of the AOM (Academy of Management) and SHRM (Society of Human Resource Management). She presented her research work at reputed national and international conferences and has published research papers in reputed international journals, Scopus-indexed book chapters and published cases in Ivey Richard and Harvard Case Collection.

She has immensely contributed to executive education and conducted several Management Development Programmes (MDPs) for government and corporate sector. She has coordinated executive education programmes with Hero MotoCorp WIL (Women-in-Leadership), Hero FinCorp Ivy League Programme and has also coordinated Summer School at Imperial Business College, London.
