Dr. Abhisek Kuanr is an Assistant Professor (Marketing) with the Jindal Global Business School (NCR of Delhi). He has completed his FPM in Marketing from XLRI, Jamshedpur, and PGDM in Marketing from XIMB. He is also a Fulbright fellow in leadership management from Carnegie Mellon University. He has extensive professional experience in the field of business to business sales and marketing. His specialty includes managing and orchestrating end-to-end sales processes for proactive and reactive opportunities, customer relationship management, market research, and marketing.
His teaching interest centers on teaching courses such as business to business marketing (B2B Marketing) based on the foundations of his industry experience. His course will build on the fundamental concepts learned as part of marketing management and introduce participants to unique nuances of business to business markets. A mix of lecture, case analysis, simulation, and occasional discussions with industry experts will enable students to acquire a fundamental understanding of the four major B2B market processes: identifying, designing, engaging and transforming customer value into profit. Considering a substantial percentage of current business school graduates accept employment in entities that market their products to business and government customers, this course will help them succeed in marketing and management roles within B2B businesses.
Marketing literature, in general, tends to adopt a pro-consumption perspective. Abhisek’s primary research interest lies in exploring the alternative episteme of anti-consumption. His research has appeared in ABS and ABDC rated international marketing journals. His ongoing research focus includes transformative consumer research, transformative sales research, positive psychology and ethical consumption.
