Biography

Dr. Areiba Arif is an Assistant Professor specialising in Public Policy and Management, with research interests in health systems, digital health, artificial intelligence in healthcare, mental health, ageing, and sustainable consumption.

She holds a PhD in Management from Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, where her research examined policy implementation through the everyday practices of frontline health workers within India’s primary healthcare reforms. She also holds a Master of Public Health from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, and a Bachelor of Dental Surgery from Aligarh Muslim University.

Prior to academia, Dr. Arif worked as an Analyst in Health Economics and Outcomes Research at Novartis India, where she conducted systematic reviews and meta-analyses and contributed to Health Technology Assessment reports.

She has received recognitions including the Regunath Research Fellowship at S P Jain Institute of Management and Research and the International Fellowship in Health Technology Assessment from the National Health Systems Resource Centre. Her research has been published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at national and international conferences.
