Vedika Gupta is an Assistant Professor at Jindal Global Business School. She is an active researcher with a demonstrated history of working in the government administration industry, skilled in research and development (R&D), data analysis, artificial intelligence, social media analysis, and socio-economic behavior detection. She has completed her PhD from National Institute of Technology Delhi (NITD) in the area of social media sentiment analysis. Vedika has 8 years of experience in research and academia. Her research interests include data mining, information retrieval, big data analytics, sentiment analysis and emotion recognition. She has authored and co-authored more than 35 publications in various international Scopus journals and conferences of high repute. Dr Vedika is an active reviewer in several journals of Springer, IEEE, and Elsevier. She has reviewed more than 60 papers of peer-reviewed International journals and renowned International Conferences.

Prof. Vedika’s teaching methodology is majorly based on practical knowledge. As far as research is concerned, she undertakes experimental research as fun. She believes that the ultimate goal of teaching and research is to present original contributions to one’ field of study. Her pedagogies are focused around pushing certain intellectual boundaries appropriately aligned with daily routines and real-time case scenarios.

Dr. Gupta leads a Data Science Research Group whereby members are involved in inter-disciplinary and collaborative research with different national and international universities. She is a lifetime member of Computer Society of India. She is also an active member of Machine Intelligence Research Lab, USA and Text Analytics Research Group at Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India.
