Dr. Gaurav Kabra is a distinguished scholar and researcher with a diverse background in Information Technology and Supply Chain Management. He earned his PhD from the Department of Management Studies at the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, specializing in the interconnected disciplines of information technology and supply chain management. Holding a B.Tech in Information Technology and an MBA from the esteemed ABV-Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management Gwalior (ABV-IIITM Gwalior), Dr. Kabra has made significant contributions to the academic community, earning recognition numerous times.

Notably, the Industrial Engineering and Operations Management Society International honoured him with the Global Supply Chain and Logistics Award in 2023 in recognition of his teaching and research in the field. Globally recognized as a leading researcher in 2021 in digital technology within humanitarian supply chain management, Dr. Kabra extends his influence through mentoring students who won the Best Summer Project Awards at NITIE Mumbai (now IIM Mumbai) in 2021.

In addition to his accolades, Dr. Kabra actively contributes to society through several sponsored projects to create tangible benefits for communities. He firmly believes that research achieves its true purpose when the result benefits the community. His achievements include the ‘Highly Commended Paper Award’ from the Emerald Literati Network Awards for Excellence in 2016 and the ‘Best Paper’ award at various International Conferences, including the 2019 International Conference of the Society of Operations Management.

In 2019, he was acknowledged as one of the top seven researchers in humanitarian supply chain management, showcasing his commitment to addressing critical global issues. Dr. Kabra’s research is featured in reputable national and international journals that are indexed by Scopus/ABDC/ABS, including Production Planning and Control, Journal of Enterprise Information Management, American Journal of Business, International Journal of Disaster Risk Reduction, Telematics and Informatics, and Neural Computing and Applications.

With research interests spanning Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Humanitarian Logistics, Application of IT in Business, and Sustainable Supply Chain Management, Dr. Gaurav Kabra continues to advance the frontiers of knowledge, making significant contributions to the academic community and leaving a lasting impact on the fields he engages in.
