About the Office of International Affairs & Global Initiatives (IAGI)

The outlook of O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU) has always been to be a Global University of International repute by developing sustainable linkages with leading Universities & Institutions across the globe in the field of Higher Education and Research.

Internationalization is a key area of continuous emphasis at JGU, and it is embedded within the University’s vision along with Social & Public Service. The Office of International Affairs & Global Initiatives (IAGI) at JGU was established at JGU in early 2017 with the objective of institutionalizing the internationalization of the University towards a truly global university with widespread opportunities for its students and faculty members.

IAGI Office continuously aims to institutionalize, streamline and standardize the processes of JGU’s global outreach and expansion. The Office primarily has two streams of its operations - outbound team and inbound team - with a dedicated focus on creating international opportunities for JGU students and faculty whilst also preparing JGU to receive much larger number of foreign students, respectively.

Internationalization constitutes a cornerstone of JGU’s core vision, since very early on in its history. The University is indeed proud of its extensive partner network across the globe, with student and staff mobility, joint teaching, research, conferences and executive education being the tangible outcomes resulting from these partnerships.

Moving forward, our aim is to ensure that these cooperative arrangements significantly enhance the profile of Indian higher education as a promising realm of opportunities for students and scholars from around the world. . JGU has more than 400+ institutional partnerships across the world in more than 70+ countries worldwide. Out of these partnerships, many are university level partnerships open to all the schools. JGU is proud to have facilitated more than 160+ Student Exchange programmes, 200+ Study Abroad Programmes, 60+ Dual Degree programmes and 15 Short-Term Study Abroad programmes.

We believe strongly that internationalization begins at home. In its young life so far, JGU has attracted full-time students from South Asia, various parts of Africa, Tibet, Korea and Brazil, among others, studying to obtain degrees from twelve schools respectively. Our faculties mirror the diversity in the student body with 625+ of our faculty members hailing from countries other than India.
