{"id":9434,"date":"2026-07-30T13:21:25","date_gmt":"2026-07-30T07:51:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jgu.edu.in\/insidejgunew\/?p=9434"},"modified":"2026-07-30T13:21:25","modified_gmt":"2026-07-30T07:51:25","slug":"dr-mousumi-mukherjee-participates-in-international-conference-on-global-citizenship-education","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jgu.edu.in\/insidejgu\/dr-mousumi-mukherjee-participates-in-international-conference-on-global-citizenship-education\/","title":{"rendered":"Dr. Mousumi Mukherjee participates in International Conference on Global Citizenship Education"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In September, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization Asia-Pacific Centre of Education for International Understanding (UNESCO APCEIU) invited Prof. (Dr.) Mousumi Mukherjee, Associate Professor &amp; Deputy Director, International Institute for Higher Education Research &amp; Capacity Building (IIHEd), to Seoul, South Korea, to participate in the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.unescoapceiu.org\/post\/5175\">first face-to-face workshop<\/a>\u00a0on the research project held after the 9<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0International Conference on Global Citizenship Education\u00a0on the theme\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.unescoapceiu.org\/post\/5171\">Revitalizing Multilateralism for Peace through GCED<\/a>. Dr. Mukherjee was also invited to speak during the closing plenary on September 5, in which she began by explaining why that date is celebrated as the Teachers\u2019 Day in India.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Last year, \u00a0Dr. Mukherjee was invited by the Director of UNESCO-APCEIU, Dr. Lim Hyun Mook, to join a research team of 9 experts from the Asia-Pacific region to work on a collaborative research project titled\u00a0<em>Redefining Global Citizenship Competencies from Asia Pacific Perspectives<\/em>.
