The session focused on bell hooks&#8217; influential 1994 book\u00a0<em>Teaching to Transgress: Education as the Practice of Freedom<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Faculty members from across JGU schools reflected on themes of liberatory pedagogy, including engaged teaching, Brazilian educator Paulo Freire&#8217;s ideas, feminist solidarity, classroom practices, and the importance of building supportive teaching communities.
