Entrance Examinations

JGU conducts different screening tests to know to the calibre of the candidates and to check whether an applicant will be a good fit in a programme. Along with some university level entrance exams we also accept at par scores of some standardised tests like SAT (1100 Score) and ACT (Score of 27). Please read the below mentioned entrance exams details carefully.

Law School Admissions Test - India

LSAT—India is an online entrance test designed by the Law School Admission Council (LSAC), USA, LSAC’s affiliate in India. The test will be in a multiple choice format and covers logical reasoning, analytical reasoning and reading comprehension. Students for admission to the following courses will be selected on the basis of their performance in the Law School Admission Test—India (LSAT—India).

  • B.B.A. LL.B.
  • (Hons.)B.Com. LLB(Hons.)
  • Three-year LL.B.
  • Three-year BA (Hons.)(Legal Studies)
  • One-year LL.M. Programme

Jindal Scholastic Aptitude Test –JSAT

The JSAT is a Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQ) test. It has 120 questions and needs to be completed in 120 minutes. It is divided into three sections:
Weightage for each category will be based on the chosen JGU programme of study. The scores will be accepted for seeking admission into following undergraduate programme for academic year 2021-22.

Jindal Creative Aptitude Test – JCAT

JCAT is the qualifying examination for admission into the following courses of Jindal School of Art and Architecture.
  • Bachelor of Arts in Built Environment
  • Bachelor of Design (B. Des.)- Community
  • Bachelor of Design (B. Des.) – Interior
  • Bachelor of Design (B. Des.) – Urban
NATA Or JEE-2 – Students for admission to the five-year Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) programme at JSAA will be selected on the basis of their performance in National Aptitude Test in Architecture(NATA) and Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) paper 2.


Candidates for the MBA at JGBS must have successfully passed the following entrance examinations with the required minimum score.

CAT/MAT/XAT ≥ 50 Percentile | GRE ≥ 295 | GMAT ≥ 450 | NMAT ≥ 160


Applicants for the JSGP and JSIA masters programmes must take an online entrance exam administered by the respective schools. These entrance exams will be conducted on a rolling basis. Please contact your course counsellors for more information.
