in collaboration with the CWS undertook a project on renewable energy schemes in the United States in order to identify and submit various local content requirement schemes by various States in the country promoting the purchase of locally produced solar panels instead of those that are foreign-origin\/manufactured. This project assisted the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India to explore the possibilities of seeking a consultation at the WTO concerning the subsidies provided by the US government to the renewable energy sector.
